As I am sure everyone in the US has heard at this point either from the news, Social Media, the internet, or some other news medium that the state of Texas was severely impacted by unexpected ice-cold weather, causing massive statewide power outages, which lead to residents losing power, heat, internet, phone, and cellular service. Not to mention food shortages at grocery stores as well as interruptions to supply chains as most roads were covered in ice leaving cars and trucks stranded.
At the height of the crisis in Texas, our team received a call from a property management company in Austin, TX that manages a 55+ community. They asked if Nationwide Bus Charter could get some busses down to their property to allow their resident to utilize their busses as a temporary shelter as their homes were without power and heat. Our team did not hesitate and leveraged our vast partner network to find busses to cater to the needs of our client. Within hours, our team found busses for our client and make sure they arrived at our client promptly. Our team kept in close contact with our bus charter partner in Texas as well as our client to ensure that all committed timelines were kept and on schedule. The fact that Nationwide Bus Charter was able to successfully deliver in these difficult times in Texas, we were referred to several other property management companies to provide the same relief to their resident with our busses. In total, Nationwide Bus Charter was able to get 30 busses out to Austin, Dallas, and the Houston areas to provide relief.
These great efforts by Nationwide Bus Charter did not go unnoticed by the local community in Austin, TX. The local Costco volunteered to donate bottled water for the residents who were going to be utilizing our busses and we had assistance from local law enforcement officials with trucks to get the local drivers based in Texas who were stranded to get to the busses so that they could be delivered to our clients.
The entire team at Nationwide Bus Charter is humbled by the efforts put forth by everyone involved and for the unorthodox use of the busses to help provide relief to the residents in Texas.
