Charter Bus Questions

Generally, yes. The vendors that we work with across the country typically have a wide range of buses from which to choose. We will match you with an ideal bus based on your needs, but if you have a request, we can look to fulfill it.
When you book your coach bus with us, we will first discuss with you the details of your trip - understanding the amount of passengers, length of time on the road, items you'll need to bring or take home, and/or any other special needs of your passengers. Then, we will work closely with our network of charter bus providers to find the bus that best fits your needs.
No, we do not own any charter buses. We have worked closely, for many years, with an extensive amount of charter bus vendors nationwide. All of our vendors are D.O.T. certified and have passed our strict safety and wellness regulations, carry proper insurance, and are very skilled drivers.
All charter buses, with the exception of school buses, come with high-back bucket seats, climate control, basic surround sound system, and more increased leg room. While seat belts are not standard on any charter bus, you may request it and we can look to fulfill it (not guaranteed).
Breakdowns are extremely rare due to the meticulous maintenance of the charter buses we use, however, should something like this occur, we can typically find a replacement vehicle without significant delay. If you are experiencing a breakdown, please call 1-800-439-2015 Ext. 805 or email dispatch@nationwidebuscharter.com

Driver Questions

Any driver provided by a vendor of NBC must participate in all screenings required by state and federal agencies and regulations. In addition, all drivers must have a minimum level of experience operating a charter bus or similar vehicle type.
For the safety and privacy of our drivers, we do not provide the names or direct phone numbers of our drivers to our customers. If you need to contact your driver during a trip, you will need to contact our 24/7 dispatch service, and they will communicate directly with your driver. You can reach dispatch at 1-800-439-2015 Ext. 805.
Generally, we can provide you with an SPAB/ISD/19A certified driver, requested at the time of booking. We offer this option for school trips in the state of CA, OR, TX, AZ, or NY.

Trip Questions

In most cases, we can accommodate modifications to your itinerary and we will always strive to do our best to accommodate you. However, changes to your trip may lead to a price increase for added mileage or time.
Should your request still meet all DOT regulations, and your bus driver agrees, we will work towards accommodating your increased time request. Additional fees may incur for overtime for your driver. We always suggest booking extra time in advance to keep your costs low.
Generally, we'd be able to book a different bus for you if your passenger count exceeds the original bus booked, assuming availability. Price changes may occur as a result of a bus change, if necessary.
Unfortunately, the Department of Transportation regulations do not allow charter bus trips that do not have specific itineraries, so that all regulations can be met. You can, however, modify your itinerary, either at the last minute, or while on the road, you can always request city tour as long as your trip is within Department of Transportation regulations, pricing can increase for city tour trips.
Generally, you're allowed to bring food and beverages with you on the bus, however, please be sure to verify with your booking agent, as some vendors, do not allow it. At times, an additional security deposit, or extra cleaning fee may incur. Alcoholic beverages are allowed with the advanced permission of NBC. Please keep in mind, consumption of alcohol must comply with state and local regulations, and all persons on board must be 21 years of age or older. Kegs and glass bottles are not allowed.
