Five Reasons Why a Charter Bus Rental is the Way Best Way to Travel

Are you considering which mode of transportation you'd like to use to get your destination? There are so many options - from flight, to train, or even hopping in a van, and doing a road trip. One big way of travel that isn't often discussed is to travel by charter bus. When you're considering new places to explore, a charter bus rental is simply the best way to go. Not only is it affordable and convenient, but it also allows you to travel with a group of friends or family members, together, safely, and with less restrictions. We have the top five reasons why traveling by charter bus rental is the best way to travel.

Save Money on Travel with Charter Bus Rentals

You're probably wondering...exactly how much does a charter bus rental cost? We have some good news! It's typically a cost-effective way to save money on your overall travel expenses! This is great news for the budget-conscious traveler! Typically, charter buses are often cheaper than other forms of transportation, especially when you're traveling as a group. With a charter bus rental, usually, you have the cost of the driver, gas, tolls, and insurance and more included in the cost of your trip. You also don't have to worry about paying for extra luggage nor do you pay extra to get on board faster. Depending on the bus rental company, you may be able to even bring your own food and drink to enjoy, instead! All these tips are helpful in saving you money and ensuring that you can travel safely as a group to your destination.

Each charter bus rental company is different, so when you're considering which one to go with, our biggest tip, is to make sure that you shop around! Charter buses can come in a variety of sizes with various amenities and different guarantees. Ask about any special discounts that the charter bus rental company may offer for student, military, seniors, and more. Ever better - be sure to ask about a company's price match guarantee, like we have here at Nationwide Bus Charter. Be sure to ask what is included in your rental, and if there are any additional costs that may apply. We also recommend checking their online reviews to ensure that they are a reputable organization. By following these tips, you'll be well on your way to securing a charter bus rental that is comfortable, smooth-sailing, and most importantly - affordable!

Secondly, charter buses often offer more variety and flexibility than other types of transportation, so you're able to get the best possible trip without having to worry about limitations or restrictions. And finally, charter buses often have much better amenities than other forms of transportation, which means that you're able to enjoy your trip completely without having to worry about basic needs like food and shelter. So if you're looking for an affordable and convenient way to travel, charter bus rentals should definitely be your top priority.

Charter Bus Rentals Offer Comfortable Travel Amenities

Have you ever ridden in a regular bus? They usually have hard seats, big windows that you can't cover, and limited options to make your ride comfortable. With a charter bus, you have so many more options! Charter bus rentals gives you many comfortable amenities and options to ensure that you have a pleasant ride to and from your destination.

First, let's talk about the type of buses you may have to choose from when trying to get a charter bus rental. If you're traveling with a large group, between 49 - 56 passengers, you may want to consider using a charter bus, also known as, coach bus. These are generally large, extremely comfortable buses that have numerous onboard amenities. Some charter bus rental companies also offer mini charter buses, which is more ideal for groups up to 35, in case your group is a little bit too small for a standard coach bus. You can also choose to do a party bus rental which give you extra amenity options, such as neon lighting, we bars, and more. Some charter bus rental companies also offer limousines, sedans, and sprinter vans as options to get you from point a to b.

With all these types of charter vehicles available, you'll want to ask your charter bus rental company which amenities already are included in the charter bus you're choosing, and which ones can be added for an additional cost. Sometimes, features like leather seating, electrical outlets, TVs, PA systems, and more, may not be included as a standard feature, but could be provided to you, upon asking. Typically, most charter buses will have air conditioning / heating, deluxe surround sound systems, comfortable seating, more legroom, larger windows with curtains, and more, making your ride as comfortable as possible!

Personalize your Travel Experience with Charter Bus Rentals

One great benefit of using a charter bus rental to travel with your group, is the ability to fully personalize your trip! We think that's kind of a big deal! Gone are the times where you must adjust your plans based on what other companies or modes of transit have already put in place. When you choose to rent a charter bus, you'll have the flexibility to decide when you travel, where you travel to, and how long you'll be there, among other, customizable aspects of your trip.

If you decide to travel by renting a charter bus, usually the charter bus rental company will assign you a representative who will be there to help you through planning your entire trip. You will discuss your itinerary with your rep, and they will be sure to discuss where you are going, how many stops you may need, if you're looking to do this as a one-way trip, or overnight, and how long you'll need to be at your destination. One great benefit of using a chartered bus rental service, is that you're being chauffeured, so once your itinerary is set in place, you get the peace of mind in knowing that your driver already knows where they are heading, and the best, and safest route to take you there.

Travel Locally with a Charter Bus Rental

Charter bus rentals are an excellent way to take a large group to and from a local event or competition together. Your local charter bus company will know the area well and will use a certified driver to get you to your destination quickly and safely. If your trip needs are only one-way, round trip, or even overnight, you can have a driver, and your transportation fully taken care of, through a charter bus rental service company.

Charter Bus Rentals are Great for Last Minute Bookings

Oops! Something happened and now, you, and your group of 30+ people are left wondering how they're going to get to their destination. You've planned this months and months in advance, and now, everything is extremely expensive. What are you going to do? This is where, renting a charter bus can actually be beneficial for you as a last-minute traveler - accidental or not!

We've already talked about how a charter bus rental can be a cost-effective way to travel as a group. What we didn't discuss is the importance of your timing when booking a charter bus rental. Ground transportation, usually follow the same peak and off-peak season as any other mode of transportation. It's important to recognize this and plan for it, when you're traveling. If you happen to get into a situation where you need a last-minute booking, charter bus rentals can often be the ideal solution to that problem.

Choosing a nationwide charter bus rental company to service your chartering needs is the perfect route to take when you're in a bind and need to book something ASAP. More times than not, the cost for your last-minute booking, will likely be less than other forms of transportation. Availability is often not an issue either, unless you're trying to book something during peak season. Be sure to check with the charter bus rental company you're booking with, to see if any added fees will be charged for a last-minute booking.

With so many reasons for groups to travel throughout America, a charter bus rental is the perfect way for you to travel together. Be sure to shop around for the right charter bus rental company, so that you have a easy and fun experience. 5 Things You Need To Know Before Renting A Charter Bus

Are you ready to rent a charter bus? You are not alone! Renting a charter bus is an excellent choice for many parties, but there are some things you need to know before you get started. Here are five things you should consider when renting a charter bus for your next trip:

1) Do I have enough people in my group that the price difference between one passenger and 15 passengers will be worth it? If not, then either take more time to find other riders or book your event on another date.

2) Do I have a clear plan of where the bus will pick up and drop off? If not, then you need to figure that out.

3) What time do I want to start my event when booking the rental? Do I know when it should end or is that flexible? You can ask for an end time but there may be a rush fee if you want to end the event at a certain time and more people are still riding.

4) Can I get any discounts? You may be able to receive some but not all of these: military, veteran, senior citizen discount.

5) Where do I go for help when renting my bus? If you have questions about your trip or what comes with your rental then don't hesitate to talk to someone who can give clear answers - this is especially important before signing contracts! The office location will vary by company so check their website for full details.

The team at Nationwide Bus Charter is here to help plan your bus charter trip, as well as help, answer any questions you may have. Feel free to give us a call at 800-439-2015 or visit our website at www.nationwidebuscharter.com.

Visiting Grand Teton National Park with a Charter Bus

If your nature lovers need to get away from it all, Grand Teton National Park is a great place to do so. These 480 square miles of practically untouched wilderness are where you can find the same plants and wildlife that have lived here since prehistoric times—all within a 5-hour drive of Salt Lake City.

Whether you’re stopping by after a tour of nearby Yellowstone National Park or planning a dedicated visit to exploring these 40 miles of peaks, Nationwide Bus Charter can help you explore the Grand Tetons at your leisure. Let our 24/7 reservation team find the perfect minibus or charter bus rental to take your sightseers and outdoor adventurers throughout this national wonder, so everyone can enjoy their time in the Grand Tetons without stressing over transportation logistics.

Park Overview

Grand Teton National Park was first established in 1929 as the 20th national park in the U.S. Since then, it has offered visitors stunning views of the park’s namesake mountain range, winding rivers, and temperate lakefronts within its 310,000 acres. These rugged and untouched mountainscapes are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, drawing in nearly 3 million hikers, skiers, mountain climbers, kayakers, and more every year.

This park is home to more than 1,000 species of vascular plants, 300 species of birds, and some of North America’s largest land mammals. While bison, moose, and grizzlies are common sights in the Grand Tetons, you’re most likely to spot elk during your visit here. In the spring and summer, herds of them migrate through the national park between the National Elk Refuge to the south and Yellowstone to the north.

Highlights and Popular Excursions

Hiking and Backcountry Camping

With over 200 miles of hiking trails that provide access to some of the most remote backcountry camping areas in the country, Grand Teton National Park has a lot to offer for hikers and backpackers who want to get away from it all. Trails vary in length from 1-hour loops around some ponds to multi-day excursions out to the glaciers of Hurricane Pass—giving hikers of all abilities plenty of terrains to explore and views to take in.

If your hikers plan to spend the night on the trail, you’re going to need a backcountry camping permit. In advance, online permits are usually only reservable between January and May of a given year and cost $45, while walk-in permits obtained on park grounds are $35. Be sure to secure a park-approved bear canister before you hit the trail; your group is required to use one if you’re backpacking overnight and bringing food.

The trailheads around Jenny Lake, Leigh Lake, Lupine Meadows, and Death and Granite Canyons get very busy around July and August. And even when the trailhead parking lots are full, parking along the side of the road is prohibited due to the permanent damage it causes to the surrounding vegetation. That’s why we recommend renting a bus to drop off your hikers near the trailhead and letting your driver find parking elsewhere while you hike.

Trout Fishing

Grand Teton National Park is a popular spot for trout fishing and is one of a few places to catch Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat trout. This species is relatively rare and the ecosystem here is delicate, so the state has many restrictions in place as to what kinds of tackle are permitted, how many fish you can catch per day, and when they should be immediately released. Read up on the park’s fishing regulations before you load up your tackle box and hit the lake.

 Taking a Scenic Drive

Traveling with a group of non-hikers or folks with mobility concerns? Or are you short on time and want to see as much of the park as possible? No matter your reasoning, it’s always a good idea to take the 42-mile loop around the park, which is comprised of Teton Park Road, the one-way scenic drive along Jenny Lake, and stretches of Highway 89.

You’ll find many stops and overlooks along the way where you can get out, stretch your legs, and take some commemorative photos with the stunning landscapes of the Teton Range as your backdrop. In addition to the park’s sweeping landscapes and vistas, this road offers plenty of opportunities to spot the park’s wildlife from a safe distance. (Don’t be surprised if a herd of bison or elk causes a traffic jam along the way!)

When planning your scenic drive, keep in mind that several of the roads along this route are closed from November to April.

Lodging

Ranches and Lodges

Those wishing to sleep indoors and on park grounds will find 7 lodging options to choose from, including a full-service resort hotel on the shore of Jackson Lake, cozy log cabins with rustic furnishings, and a community-style dude ranch with regular dancing nights and cookouts. These sites are all independently owned, so your group will need to call them directly to inquire about group rates and room block availability.

Group Camping at Grand Teton National Park

This national park is a camper’s paradise—there are more than 1,000 drive-in campsites within it! Camping Season at Grand Teton National Park begins in May and runs through late October or early November. While indoor lodging in the park is variable, all campgrounds are run by the National Park Service and their sites are reservable online.

The park has 7 campgrounds total, but only 2 are available to camping groups who want to set up camp on the same plot:

Colter Bay — offers 10 group sites and close vicinity to Colter Bay Village. From here, your group will have easy access to the village’s restaurants, visitor center, and marina.

Gros Ventre — offers 4 group sites. This campground is the park’s largest and is located on its southernmost point, a quick drive from Jackson Hole.

Nationwide Bus Charter to the Rescue!

As I am sure everyone in the US has heard at this point either from the news, Social Media, the internet, or some other news medium that the state of Texas was severely impacted by unexpected ice-cold weather, causing massive statewide power outages, which lead to residents losing power, heat, internet, phone, and cellular service. Not to mention food shortages at grocery stores as well as interruptions to supply chains as most roads were covered in ice leaving cars and trucks stranded.

At the height of the crisis in Texas, our team received a call from a property management company in Austin, TX that manages a 55+ community. They asked if Nationwide Bus Charter could get some busses down to their property to allow their resident to utilize their busses as a temporary shelter as their homes were without power and heat. Our team did not hesitate and leveraged our vast partner network to find busses to cater to the needs of our client. Within hours, our team found busses for our client and make sure they arrived at our client promptly. Our team kept in close contact with our bus charter partner in Texas as well as our client to ensure that all committed timelines were kept and on schedule. The fact that Nationwide Bus Charter was able to successfully deliver in these difficult times in Texas, we were referred to several other property management companies to provide the same relief to their resident with our busses. In total, Nationwide Bus Charter was able to get 30 busses out to Austin, Dallas, and the Houston areas to provide relief.

These great efforts by Nationwide Bus Charter did not go unnoticed by the local community in Austin, TX. The local Costco volunteered to donate bottled water for the residents who were going to be utilizing our busses and we had assistance from local law enforcement officials with trucks to get the local drivers based in Texas who were stranded to get to the busses so that they could be delivered to our clients.

The entire team at Nationwide Bus Charter is humbled by the efforts put forth by everyone involved and for the unorthodox use of the busses to help provide relief to the residents in Texas.
